Apple Product Lead Times + Price Increase for Paper Products

Please review the following important updates related to price increases for paper products from SUPRA/ODP Business Solutions and increased lead times for certain Apple products from SHI:

SHI, the University-wide Contracted Supplier for Apple products, has notified us of delays for certain Apple products related to increased demand and the COVID-19 pandemic. When ordering these products, please be aware of the lead times as indicated in the following table:

Price Increase for Paper Products from SUPRA/ODP Business Solutions

Beginning October 1, 2022, SUPRA/ODP Business Solutions, University-wide Contracted Supplier for office supplies, will be implementing paper price increases for copy paper due to ongoing industry-wide price increases for paper products. Users can expect to see these price increases reflected when purchasing paper products through the PantherExpress System.

The average increase is expected to be 6%. These price increases are consistent with those across the industry as seen in the Producer Price Index by Commodity: Pulp, Paper, and Allied Products: Wood Pulp, dated July 22, 2022.

To offset a portion of the price increases, departments should consider reducing printing altogether to support sustainability initiatives at Pitt. Also, Pitt IT has developed several tips for going paperless including digital tools that can be implemented by your team.
