Enroll to Receive Fraud Alerts for OneCard

To improve your experience with OneCard and protect the University from fraud, we are asking all cardholders to enroll in fraud alerts. Enrolling will allow the cardholder to authorize transactions that JP Morgan flags as suspicious, and to stop transactions that are fraudulent. Reasons JP Morgan may flag a transaction as suspicious include:

  • The location of the merchant
  • Outside of the usual spend pattern of the cardholder
  • There are fraud reports from that particular location or the merchant itself

Follow these simple steps to enroll to receive fraud alerts on your OneCard. Please note that PittPassport SSO is required to access the step-by-step guide linked above.

Review the following important information about fraud alerts:

  • The alerts will begin immediately after you’ve enrolled.
  • If you receive a fraud alert notification, select that the transaction is ok to process and there will be no hold placed on your account.

Lastly, it is very important to notify J.P. Morgan immediately when you realize fraudulent activity or your OneCard has been lost or stolen. Call JP Morgan at the following numbers, which are accessible 24 hours a day, 365 days a year and are also printed on the back of the OneCard. The bank will be able to stop activity immediately:

  • Toll-free, within the U.S./Canada: 800-316-6056
  • International: 847-488-3748

If a OneCard is lost or stolen, a OneCard inquiry should be submitted after you notify JP Morgan so that the University's Credit Card Administrator is aware as well.
