Beginning March 14, 2022, SHI is the new University-wide Contracted Supplier for Apple products and services. The SHI punch-out in the PantherExpress System will include the same products and services previously available directly through Apple. SHI provides the University with a discounted price on many Apple products and is also designated as a diverse supplier. Purchasing from SHI contributes to the University's goals, as part of the Plan for Pitt, to support the community and economic development by increasing spending with diverse businesses. For orders placed directly with Apple prior to March 14, 2022, purchasers will still receive their order and can submit invoices against this order in the PantherExpress System. But no change requests can be made against this order. Any new orders for Apple products and services need to be placed through the SHI punch-out in the PantherExpress System, rather than with Apple directly.
Once logged into the PantherExpress System, the sticker for the SHI punch-out will appear in the same showcase where the Apple sticker previously appeared:
As a reminder, it is University policy that you must use a University-wide Contracted Supplier for purchase of any items for which the University has an agreement.
