Zoom Conferencing Available to Support Remote Work & Learning

In an effort to improve remote-working during the COVID-19 pandemic, Zoom Video Conferencing—an online and mobile meeting solution that combines real-time chat, content sharing, and video in an easy-to-use interface to enrich teaching and learning—is now available to all University students, faculty, and staff.

Zoom integrates with CourseWeb (Blackboard) and the University’s new Learning Management System (Canvas) to facilitate remote teaching and learning. Pitt IT will be contacting departments with existing Zoom licenses to assist with migrating to the enterprise license.

Visit Pitt Information Technology’s website to learn how to get started with Zoom including guidance on using an existing Zoom account with a University Zoom account. The University Center for Teaching and Learning offers online Zoom training sessions and additional instructions for using Zoom.

For any questions, please contact Pitt IT.
