Square Café is a participating restaurant of the America To Go (ATG) program. America To Go is a University-wide Contracted Supplier which is available for catering orders through a punchout in the PantherExpress System. This fantastic restaurant is located at 134 S Highland Ave and has a menu of amazing food options including vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options.
In 2003 Owner Sherree Goldstien had a vision to bring fresh seasonal and local food to Regent Square. The quality and tastiness of the food were as important to her as creating a friendly neighborhood cafe that would bring the community together.
Square Café offers a menu full of seasonal favorites and their knowledgeable staff is always happy to help any dietary restrictions necessary for their guests. This amazing restaurant will be celebrating 20 years in business this May and as of 2020 decided to explore a venue with more seating which brought them to the heart of the East Liberty neighborhood.
As a staple in the Pittsburgh area, Square Café employes several Pitt students and often expands that number during the summer season. Square Café is also dedicated to local talent as well as to the community. They partner with many local nonprofits on fundraisers, special events, and promotions. The café also serves as a gallery showcasing local artists!
