Unless they are part of the setup of a new building or new lab involving Facilities Management, purchases of chemical fume hoods, gas cabinets, and biological safety cabinets require approval from Environmental Health and Safety (EH&S) before they are purchased. Approval should be attached to the requisition in supporting documents. Please email safety@pitt.edu for assistance.
