New Inbound Freight Management Program Provider

The University is in the process of transitioning from OptiFreight Logistics to a new inbound freight management program provider.

We are pleased to share that after a competitive and publicly posted request for proposal process, AFS Logistics will be the new University-wide Contracted Supplier for the University's Inbound Freight Management Program effective October 30, 2025. The transition and award to AFS Logistics provides the following process improvements:

  • Streamlined process for freight charges to closed or erroneous account numbers. These will now default to the department 02 account.
  • More accurate PO matching and allocation of freight charges.
  • Greater visibility and improved customer service through enhanced support from AFS.
  • More competitive pricing, supporting cost savings.
  • FedEx will still be the primary carrier for inbound freight under AFS.
