Addition of a Guardian/Parent field to the Vincent System

Please review details about a Vincent system change that is being developed for release.

Change information:

  • Due to a change in banking rules, payees under the age of 13 years of age are no longer able to receive a card directly in their name.
    • We are adding a Guardian/Parent field to the Vincent system that can be added to the payee profile page.
    • Payments will be restricted from being able to be made if there is no Guardian/Parent field filled out in Vincent if the payee is under 13 years old.
      • Once the payee’s age goes over the age of 13 years old then the Guardian/Parent field will not need to be filled out and can be removed by the payer.
    • The Guardian/Parent field can also be used for payees over the age of 13 years old in situations where the payee has someone with power of attorney, etc. Proper documentation would need to be held at the group level internally.
    • When the Guardian/Parent field if filled out, the payments will be made to the payee and reported to the payee, but the card will be registered under the Guardian/Parent name and demographics.
    • If the guardian has a separate payee profile, this will not affect their separate payee profile.
    • Users will not be able to search by Guardian/Parent and will still have to search by the payee name and information.

Timeframe and training:

  • We anticipate that this development will be released at the end of the month of April, or the beginning of May.
  • We will have a notification once the exact date of the release of the change is set.
  • We anticipate having an updated version of the Vincent User Guide a week or two before the release date.
  • We are not holding official trainings regarding this release since this addition just an add on and not a change of how the software works. We will be handling training through announcement email showing before and after functions, and individual communications if needed.
